There seems to be a shift from the tactile towards the visual experience.
Digitalization speeds up processes.
Visual information seems to be faster than tactile information.
What will get priority in our experiencing of the world ?
Weaving is a very slow process, even on a computerized loom.
There is tension between making and the fast world around me.
' ..Penelope, Odysseus' wife has to stretch time until her husband returns. A big loom has been placed in her rooms and she set up a gossamer weave, pretending to weave her father's shroud. During the days she keeps working at the large cloth, but at night she undoes her work. For three years she fools the suitors, but at the start of the fourth year - winter turns into lent, months pass by, days grow longer - one of her women gives her away and she is caught at unweaving the magnificent cloth.' Homerus, Odysseia
