Visual information seems to be faster than tactile information.
What will get priority in our experiencing of the world ?
Weaving is a very slow process, even on a computerized loom.
There is tension between making and the fast world around me.
' ..Penelope, Odysseus' wife has to stretch time until her husband returns. A big loom has been placed in her rooms and she set up a gossamer weave, pretending to weave her father's shroud. During the days she keeps working at the large cloth, but at night she undoes her work.
