This is exactly what Dipperfox has been doing for the past 3 years, reinventing the way stubborn tree stumps are being removed. Traditional methods like excavation, ripping and grinding are time consuming, inefficient and leave a complete mess behind for others to clean or live with. Dipperfox does the job neat and clean, crushing a stump in just 20 seconds and pushing its remains deep into the ground, where they decompose naturally. No craters, no piles of rubbish, 5-15 times faster than any competition. Doesn’t really matter, if you have one stump, but if you have a 100 or 1000, it’s a different game.
Dippefrox is a brand owned and run by a family of engineers from a small metal works factory near Pärnu. Teir journey from first prototype in 2017 to winning the Design Masterclass programme in June 2020 is a textbook example of design thinking and user focused product development. They unanimously won both the jury’s and audience’s grand prix at the end of the 9-month development programme and will invest the prize funds into further product development.
Robust in its design it has the power of a monster and precision of a surgeon. Fewer moving parts and adjustable transmission make it extremely durable and easy to operate for any excavator operator. Marginal gains in saving seconds on every stump sum up to saving days and weeks on construction sites - thus saving thousands on salaries, rental fees of heavy equipment, fuel, as well as on the clean up process after work is completed. New trees can be planted immediately into the pit created by Dipperfox.
The brand’s strategy is focused on heavy equipment owners and operators, construction and landscaping companies that make money with the product. The foxy name and distinct identity of the brand put it far ahead of competitors – both local and international.
The design is patented and the brand is trademarked – key features behind the success of Dipperfox that took off immediately after it was launched in May 2020.
