The starting point for my artistic process is a question: Where are we located in time? Compared to our personal history, from the world around us?
With the serie of brooches Silhouette, I wonder about the weight of memory and its perception, about what carry our bodies. The body which as soon as it is born leads us to death collects objects, emotions, stories, to form the landscape of our lives as a witness the passing time. I attribute it a noble function receptacle that receives, handles, and gives a place of sacred path. Thus, submitted to the rules of time and space, our body carries an individual memory and, in a wider perspective, our collective history. For some this memory is light and volatile, for others it hinders movement. A balance must be found between past and future, weight and lightness, full and empty.
