The 4 pieces I selected, give an impression of the collection/installation 'Cultured Manners'.
The last picture shows the setup of the work, how it was exhibited before. However the original collection has been shown before with a big amount of pieces, I want to propose to show a fragment of this work at the Triennial. Taking in account an amount of 8 pieces as a fragment, the installation would need an approximate 3 meter wall. Every piece is held by a steel carrier pinned in the wall.
Cultured Manners: The Growing & The Making, is a collection of artifacts; cutlery and knives made from gemstones and minerals. Through a historical point of view and order, the eating utensil is manifested in natural growing crystals transforming into defined and crafted products.
The work was completed at first in 2016, however it has an ongoing and growing state of beïng.
