2017/18 plakatiseeriaks sain inspiratsiooni Sander Mölderi muusikaedititest - uusversioonidest. EV100 raames teen kummarduse Eesti kunstile, vaatlen neid uues valguses. Pidu oli KUKU klubis ja andis meile esimese kunstniku. “Kabarees” kujutatud eelmise sajandi tabusid tõlgendan tänase ööelu võtmes. Lisasin ka PDFi kus võimalik näha kestva plakatiaasta 7/12 valminud pilti ja viise, kuidas meistreid olen interpreteerinud.
We decided to have the 2017/18 poster series tie in with the Centennal celebrations. I was inspired by Sander Mölder’s edits for music - transforming them so that they fit our audience’s tastes. I wished to do the same with Estonian art. We kept the previous year’s polaroid/record sleeve layout with square illustrations. My aim this year is to make original illustrations true to our local zeitgeist that give a recognizable nod to our art history. I included a PDF with 7/12 of this year’s posters to illustrate my progress. That first event took place in KUKU, which is under the now former "Wiiralt" cafe. This confirmed the choice of artist and artwork. I envision the controversy of his original work in today’s club setting with contemporary taboos.
