Industrial forged gas cylinders transformed by artist blacksmith.
The transition from industrial gas containers for organic forged objects is an effort to visualise the different states of time with simple material logic. The material movements and modifications known to blacksmith allow to radically change the presence of an ready made object, but also leave a trace from its original shape and procedures preformed on it.
How many twists and bends could one take to still be a gas cylinder?
Do the modificated forms of original article signal different epochs of time in a life of an object?
Is it possible to pressurize time?
On the photo here are miniatures, with the size of 10 X 10 cm. The original objects would be 10 times bigger, around 1000 x 1000 cm each.
On the other photo can be seen a standard gas cylinder, analogues of these objects would be used as a material.
