If there was a car accident and we would drive by without stopping to help and the driver would die, we would be liable for failing to render assistance causing death. We would be responsible for it. Does this apply to our inaction when it comes to human suffering and deaths of migrants at the border of the EU? Discussing this issue was the main goal of the mock trial of all Lithuanians held on behalf of the Lithuanian Red Cross Society.
