FOMO, or the fear of missing out, is a psychological phenomenon that can be caused by a fear of not having something that someone else has. It's most commonly felt when someone is around something they want and they don't have access to it. This can cause stress and anxiety because the person feels like they're not in control.
Some people use FOMO to keep themselves motivated. They may feel like they need to stay up-to-date on their social media so that they don't miss any important information. Others may use FOMO as an excuse to overindulge in things that they know will make them feel bad afterward.
Whatever the reason, FOMO can be a real problem for some people. There are ways to deal with FOMO, but it takes effort and practice.
