The building of Tallinn’s central post office, which was designed by Raine Karp and completed in 1980, was renovated as a shopping centre in 2013. It was the owner’s wish not to create a Post Office brand. Our proposal was to reflect the building’s history and the postal theme in its interior graphics. We took Soviet-era envelope postcodes as a basis for creating a system of references and numbers, adding the calligraphy of love letters and the perforations of stamps.
