The common visual identity of governmental institutions is based on the three lions of the Estonian coat of arms and on the colours of the Estonian flag. The lions have been transformed into a modern logotype interpretation and the graphical implementation is clear and fashionably national. In higher-level communications the state uses the coat of arms and, in parallel with it, the logotype derived from the common logotype system. The planned duration of use of this identity is 15 years.
