In April 2018 Monier launched an image campaign that was created without help of an agency. Our budget was small, but we did not want this tiny detail stop us. We knew about an Estonian movie director Helen Takkin, who is considered to be one the best, but we also knew she only worked in Estonia when she really liked the creative idea.
So now we just needed an excellent idea, but using an agency would’ve risen the budget by 30%. So we gathered some friends, bought a ton of Chinese food and sat down to brainstorm ideas.
We came up with a plot where we show a story of a family through decades: “Life changes, but Monier's roof stays the same.” We presented that to Helen and she loved it.
We also agreed from the beginning that music plays a crucial role in the clip - we wanted it to be emotional and authentic, so that people would identify with it. Luckily we had a musician friend who agreed to write an original piece for the clip. That’s how Egert Milder’s song “Home” was born for the cl
